Billing Manager in the Societe Generale Group Employee Savings Department
1. Could you tell us a little about your career ?
« Having obtained my sales and marketing qualification and taken a one-year course in management of service companies, I joined the Societe Generale Group in the voucher payment department. I then worked in the tax department as a case manager for French residents holding foreign securities for six years. Since 2014, I have been responsible for company invoicing within the Employee Savings department.” »
2. Can you describe your role in three words ?
« VERSATILITY:One of the things I like about my job is having to work for different types of clients and adapting to them. I am mainly in charge of Fédérale Finance Account Holding, but I also support Crédit du Nord Account Holding and also on the contract management part with the GENESE tool. I like this diversity, teamwork and versatility. Each Account Holder has its own characteristics and we need to adapt!
CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP : That’s what I like about my job. This is also one of my criteria when choosing a position. For me, contact with our customers is essential and I like being able to interact with them. These relationships are full of meaning and that is the real purpose of our work – satisfying our customers!
ORGANISATION : Billing is a particularly sensitive subject for our customers. Faultless organisation is required to guarantee the reliability of the invoices. The traceability of correspondence with all teams involved (back office, sales, account managers, etc.) allows proper supervision of files and that means we need to be well organised, TO DO LISTS are indispensable tools for me! »
3. What makes the job worthwhile ?
«I have the best morning alarm – a two-year-old boy! I am someone who finds it easy to get up. I am enthusiastic to attack the day! Joining my lovely team and a busy day of working and being a mum motivates me. »
4. Élise, what’s your motto, your philosophy ?
«Do not wait for change to come from others. Sometimes it’s up to us to change our behaviour, adapt or simply see things differently. For some time now I have realised that even the smallest environmental actions can make a lot of difference. I am therefore trying to take an active role in this transition without waiting!»
5. What are your interests in life ?
«THE FAMILY, my two children, my partner, my parents... it’s very important to me. I like to spend time with them (playing board games, bike rides and going on outings). I also like to do manual activities that express my creativity, such as painting, cooking and, most recently, sewing. I like to look for new sources of inspiration. I am also a member of an association I joined as a volunteer where I meet my friends: the Compagnie d’Art d’Art. We try to bring cultural activities to a wide audience, such as the circus (courses and lessons) and the theatre, and also put on various shows (clowns, puppets, etc.). I take care of the minutes, doodles, etc. and general organisation. Another opportunity to come up with TO DO LISTS! »
