Company Billing Officer Employee Savings Plan

1.    Could you tell us a little about your career?

" After an Economic and Social high school diploma, I completed a bachelor's degree in a business school in La Roche sur Yon for three years. Then I took up a sales and repair position in a watchmaker where I appointed for a year and a half. Societe Generale adventure began in 2017, with my first interim post as assistant in the management of General Meetings. I was in charge of plannings, recordings of voting instructions or even providing answers to shareholders' questions : it was a good first experience. In August 2017, I joined Societe Generale Employee Savings Department as billing officer in interim, where I was hired in October 2018. "

 

2.    Can you describe your role in three words?

" RIGOUR : the direct relationship that we have with customers in the billing department requires us to be meticulous and rigorous on each document issued. We are on the front line with the customer, it is therefore that we have to transmit correct and careful informations.

VERSATILITY : another fundamental aspect of this job is versatility: you have to be able to put on several hats and easily and quickly switch from the subjects of complaints, to the regulatory aspect or to the management of financial indicators. It is also about exercise adaptability in front of the different interlocutor we deal with every day. 

INNOVATION : the billing service is also affected by innovation, whether in terms of processes or technology. Part of our job consists of reviewing, reinterpreting and imagining the processes of tomorrow while respecting the current regulatory constraints of the profession."

3.    What makes the job worthwhile?

" A bit like everyone else my alarm clock! What motivates me in the morning is the desire to learn and explore other aspects of my job. Every day new situations, new questions arise and push me to get out of certain automatisms, inherent in invoicing, and therefore to discover more, both about my job but also about myself. Finally, it is also and above all, the desire to meet my colleagues that also contributes to a successful day! "

4.    Dimitri, what's your motto, your philosophy?

" I keep in mind that if something scares us then we have to do it! It's not easy to step out of your comfort zone, whether in professional or personal life, but it is a good mantra that encourages you to surpass yourself. "

5.    What are your interests in life?

" I regularly meet up with my friends for a drink or a football game: it's an opportunity to decompress and have a good time! I also have an interest in cinema and also what is link to geek culture in general: movies and series, I particularly like thrillers and SF (science fiction) and everything that allows you to rack your brains while escaping, but also the sciences. It is not my initial field but I am very interested in astronomy, physics or even history."

6.    How can you say that you are the future?

"I consider that each generation brings its own contribution, I am part of the generation that has grown up with the development of digital technology. It is an indispensable element in our businesses, today and in the future, and it is up to us to initiate this transformation. The ability to identify, analyze and use this digital culture to simplify processes also means setting out to discover new opportunities!  "
